Contractor Mode is Smart School's field service management system. It is built for contractors who send crews to work sites and need to track who worked, what got done, and what is still pending.

Who it's for

  • Railway track maintenance contractors managing sub-contractors and labourers
  • Construction firms running multiple sites and shifts
  • Electrical contractors with per-task checklists and photo evidence
  • Facilities management teams tracking daily maintenance work

What it does

  • Assign work — create work orders from reusable templates
  • Mark attendance — record which labourers worked each shift
  • Track completion — update task status, percentage done, and notes
  • Photo evidence — before/after photos attached to individual checklist items
  • Send reports — daily progress PDFs with embedded photos

How it differs from school mode

Contractor Mode uses the same platform but carries its own domain: work orders instead of
classes, task checklists instead of exams, shift attendance instead of attendance registers,
and daily progress reports instead of report cards.

If you manage a school, check out Getting Started instead. Contractor Mode is for field
service businesses.
